- Accurate
pH readings with excellent calibration response and repeatability.
- Compatible
Suitable for use with all popular incubators.
- Unique
IVF culture dish design and robust probe.
- Tailored
Optional data-logging version available with dedicated software.

Uniquely, the RI pH Meter allows you to read media pH in real-time from inside any popular incubator, including benchtop models. Previously this hasn’t been possible, with clinics depending on less direct methods such as CO2 measurement. With the pH Meter you can see exactly what is happening to the media during culture to better inform lab protocols and optimise conditions. The pH Meter is suitable for various laboratory surveys and is compatible with standard media equilibration practices.

The RI pH Meter probe imitates a culture dish so to take a reading, first calibrate the meter, and then place an aliquot of media into the pH probe well and position in the incubator to equilibrate. The RI pH Meter is accurate to 0.05pH.

A data-logging version of the pH Meter is available which enables stored information to be exported to a PC. Test results can be analysed with our dedicated software using adaptable graphs to display pH and temperature over time. Details can also be archived, exported to other software programs and printed for lab records.

Accurate temperature control is one of the best ways to optimise results in the IVF laboratory. Laboratories use the IVF Thermometer to verify that any equipment which comes into contact with live samples is performing as desired.

- Unique
IVF microprobe for microdrop measurement.
- Accurate
Verified at IVF temperatures (5°C, 37°C, 45°C).
- Calibrated
Calibration certificate included.
- Simple
Ergonomic design with large backlit digital display.
- Versatile
Cryo-probe available.

The specifically designed microprobe allows the user to accurately measure the temperature of heated stages and inside droplets, incubators and refrigerators. The probe can be held in place or passed through a micropipette holder on a micromanipulator for hands-free measurement. The probe is also insulated against heat from the user for truly accurate measurements. The optional cryo-probe has been tested extensively in liquid nitrogen and functions down to -200°C.

IVF Laboratories rely on air filtration to protect the gametes from contamination during critical procedures. An independent inspection is used to certify that the air system is working, typically once per year. Acknowledging that this is inadequate, many laboratories are now installing expensive continuous monitoring systems at fixed positions. The HandiLaz® Mini, exclusively from Research Instruments, gives the same level of protection at a fraction of the cost. This enables far more laboratories to consider employing this form of monitoring than ever before.

The HandiLaz® Mini can be used to measure HEPA filtered flow hoods, clean rooms and incubators. The HandiLaz® Mini provides an on-the-spot check that your air quality is up to scratch providing you with immediate verification that your air filtration system is producing the appropriate Grade air to ISO or EU GGMP standards. The HandiLaz® Mini particle counter is ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of your hand. It is rugged and dependable, and provides accurate validation at a great price.

How is it used?
Having rechargeable batteries, the counter can be taken anywhere in the laboratory. Simply hold or place it in the test environment and start the test. The HandiLaz® Mini samples the air for a user-defined time, counting the particles within three size ranges (0.3μm, 0.5μm and 5μm). At the end of the test the results are displayed on the screen in units that can be immediately compared with the pass and fail criteria given in the standards (ISO or EU GGMP).

How does it work?
Air is drawn through the detection chamber by a pump. A laser beam is directed across the chamber and any particles contained in the air reflect the light, appearing as a bright flash. The larger the particle, the brighter the flash. A photo detector measures the brightness of each flash and the meter counts and sorts them into the three size ranges. The software then calculates the results.

Validation
The HandiLaz® Mini is calibrated by NIST traceable particles and adheres to the same standards that an independent inspector does.

Data analysis
The HandiLaz® Mini interfaces directly by cable to an optional printer or PC.
