RI micropipettes are manufactured in an ISO 14644 Class 7 cleanroom using close tolerance borosilicate glass with a 1mm OD. Our highly trained technicians have developed our micropipettes in collaboration with experts in IVF. Following each step of production, our micropipettes are individually inspected by our Quality Control staff. Our procedures are such that an ICSI micropipette is examined five times before production is completed.

All micropipettes are embryo safety tested on a batch basis using the highest industry pass mark in Mouse Embryo Assay (MEA) – at least 80% of the test embryos must reach the blastocyst stage. The batches are also certified free of endotoxins by the Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate (LAL) test (<0.5 Eu/ml pass mark). Micropipettes are sterilised by an approved gamma irradiation facility meeting ISO 11137 standards.

RI’s unique Twista-Pak™ operates like a lipstick, facilitating 100% damage-free removal of the micropipette from the packaging and is colour coded for immediate visual identification. Each RI micropipette is sealed inside a tamper-proof medical pouch, ensuring that a pipette is totally sterile until use. The shelf life of RI micropipettes is three years.

Working in collaboration with experts in IVF, Research Instruments Ltd is pleased to present EZ-Tip® as a premium quality plastic tip for denudation. Our close-tolerance plastic tips are flexible, with smooth edges and consistent geometries. The EZ-Tip® can be easily extracted from its packaging and loaded into the pipettor. The 0.9mm outside diameter fits the EZ-Grip® and is compatible with all popular denudation pipettors.

The EZ-Tip® is batch tested to ensure embryo safety, using the industry’s highest pass mark in Mouse Embryo Assay (MEA) - at least 80% of the test embryos must reach the blastocyst stage. The EZ-Strip® is a unique registered design, developed for maintaining the most exacting laboratory sterility standards - the EZ-Strip® eliminates any risk of cross contamination through the use of a complete sterile unit. Systems using reusable devices or handles cannot make the same guarantees.

EZ-Grip® is an ergonomic premium pipettor for oocyte denudation or gamete and embryo handling.

Immediately accessible and easy to adopt, the EZ-Grip® may be quickly and confidently manipulated with a very high degree of precision. The straightforward ergonomic design is comfortable to use for long periods. Due to its smooth streamlined body, EZ-Grip® can be rapidly and effectively disinfected or autoclaved. This device was developed alongside professionals in IVF, specifically for clinical applications.

The EZ-Tip® pipette size indicator dial on the EZ-Grip® may be used as a reminder of the size of pipette being used or left at a blank setting, if preferred. The EZ-Grip® fits with the EZ-Tip® and all popular plastic denudation and transfer pipettes (Ø0.9mm).

The pre-assembled EZ-Squeeze™ pipette is fitted with an aspiration bulb, creating a reliable seal, which is not always guaranteed with customer assembled systems. This combined unit enables a faster set-up and the flexible, shatter-proof plastic pipette does not scratch Petri dishes, as fragile glass pipettes are prone to do. Extensive quality control practices ensure consistent geometries and smooth edges for gentle sample handling.

EZ-Squeeze™ pipettes are supplied in individually sealed packs with clear, large print and colour coded sizing information. The pipettes are batch tested to ensure embryo safety using the industry’s highest pass mark in Mouse Embryo Assay (MEA) - at least 80% of the test embryos must reach the blastocyst stage. EZ-Squeeze™ batches are also certified free of endotoxins by the Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate (LAL) test (<0.5 Eu/ml pass mark). EZ-Squeeze™ pipettes are manufactured in an ISO 13485 facility and sterilised by an approved gamma irradiation centre meeting ISO 11137 standards. The autoclavable EZ-Squeeze™ handle, supplied seperately, is designed to offer precision, ease of handling and a comfortable working position.
